Job Summary

UK Export Finance is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) directorate, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our database systems to support our customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain database schemas and objects to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Implement security policies and monitor performance and tuning parameters to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Manage user access and permissions to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure database systems are running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Graduate level education or relevant professional experience in database administration.
  • Good knowledge of Azure Cloud Computing and data architectures, including data warehouses and relational databases.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery techniques, including database clustering techniques on varied database technologies.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques and SQL scripting.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Relevant Microsoft Data related qualification.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira and Kanban boards.
