Mental Health Practitioner for Students

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based in Reading at Prospect Park Hospital. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing excellent care to our patients and contributing to the delivery of outstanding services.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with mental health problems. They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work flexibly and reliably in a pressurized environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a degree in health/social care or equivalent qualification/experience. They will also need to be registered as a Mental Health Practitioner and have excellent knowledge and understanding of the health & social care systems and operating frameworks, clinical observations, and the Mental Health Act. The candidate will need to be able to empathize, be supportive, and sensitive to the needs of others, as well as being able to cope with distressing circumstances. They will also need to have competent IT skills and the ability to navigate around various systems and software packages (such as MS Office).
