Project Manager for Capital Delivery

Capital Delivery Programme Leader
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of our significant investment programme at the Coppermills Water Treatment site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the project scope in AMP8 and contributing to Thames Water's Capital Delivery programme and Turnaround plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Governance: Ensure governance compliance and effective stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Solution Development: Support the definition of solutions to meet project objectives and prepare a clear business case.
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement an optimal procurement strategy for the project, including contract documentation specification and production.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate program and project risks related to required third-party consents.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Effectively communicate with town planning authorities, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Team Management: Lead consultants and contractors to deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to project-wide continuous improvement initiatives and deliver against stretching targets.
- Contract Management: Commercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water.
What You'll Need:
- A degree in engineering or a relevant field, or a business or project management qualification.
- Knowledge of the construction, infrastructure, or utility industry, with prior experience in delivering major complex projects (up to £100m) within a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with managing contract specification preparation, tendering, and tender evaluation processes, including negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated capability in risk-based decision-making and analytical thinking.
- Confidence in communicating effectively with various levels of stakeholders.
