Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Payroll and Projects Director to join our team at JasperRose. As a key member of our finance operations senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5 direct reports and an indirect team of 15+ within payroll and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the payroll and payments teams, identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of 5 direct reports and an indirect team of 15+, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve processes and procedures to ensure they are aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Budget Management: Manage departmental budget and ensure operational costs are adhered to, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing initiatives to reduce expenses.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, employees, and external partners.
  • Change Management: Lead the team through periods of change, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience leading payroll teams, with a strong track record of strategic planning, team management, and process improvement.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of payroll and payments processes, with experience working in a complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
