Role Overview

We are seeking an Enterprise IT Architect to join our team at Biffa Biffa plc. As a key member of our technical leadership, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective technology solutions that meet the needs of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong background in cloud computing and Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that changes to our systems and new systems follow our technology roadmap and meet our requirements for scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design: Develop and communicate the strategic direction for technology solutions, aligning them with Biffa's business goals and objectives.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, frameworks, and platforms that align with the organisation's technical requirements and long-term vision.
  • Implementation Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers, assessing their capabilities, managing relationships, and ensuring their solutions integrate effectively with the organisation's ecosystem.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture with direct responsibility for cloud computing and Azure.
  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Experience working in a BAU continual improvement setting across a complex SaaS and legacy architecture.
  • Exceptional ability to understand highly complex technical processes and then communicate them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
