Health and Safety Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Health and Safety Compliance Lead to join our team at Padstone Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across our MEP operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs specific to MEP activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor health and safety performance, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide safety training and implement safety training programs for all personnel, ensuring a high level of understanding of safety practices and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation, including incident reports and risk assessments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters, working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety into all phases of project delivery.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the MEP industry.
- IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification, with proof of certificate(s).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate at all levels, from site level to senior management.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Full UK driver's license.
