The Rosalind Franklin Institute is seeking a skilled researcher to contribute to our cutting-edge projects in biological imaging and disease understanding.

Based on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, our team collaborates with universities and industrial partners to drive innovation and progress on key issues.

This role as a Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate involves leading the construction and operation of a new ultrafast laser laboratory for biological imaging applications, focusing on high-flux water window X-ray pulses and coherent scattering chamber development.

You will work with a state-of-the-art femtosecond laser source and develop efficient methods for generating highly-coherent soft X-rays in the water window.

The institute offers a competitive salary from £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits including 25 days' holiday, generous pension scheme, and training opportunities.
