Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrument Technician on a full-time basis at SAGE Gas Terminal in St Fergus to ensure all instrumentation equipment is fully operational, in service, and maintained in a safe and efficient manner as per statutory and company practices/procedures.

The successful applicant will be responsible for executing all activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans, safety management system requirements, and best working practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
  • Collaborating with the operations team to ensure seamless equipment operation
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in instrumentation maintenance

Requirements:

  • Level 3 VQ (modern apprenticeship) – Maintaining Plant - Instruments & Control, or equivalent
  • ATEX Inspections COMPEX level 01-04
  • Maintaining Small Bore Tubing SBT01 & SBT02
  • Relevant Oil & Gas experience
  • Familiarity with DCS, ESD, F&G, Fiscal metering, ISSOW, and Maximo systems
