BVSC Research Champion Role Overview

At BVSC, we are committed to amplifying the voices of diverse communities and supporting their engagement with research. We are seeking a Research Champion to join our dynamic team, working to break down barriers and enable those from ethnic minority backgrounds and other underserved groups to take an active role in research.

About the Role

The Research Champion will be responsible for identifying barriers faced by Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations working with minoritised and underserved groups to engaging with research. They will promote the benefits and opportunities of research to these organisations and communities through outreach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify barriers faced by VCFSE organisations working with minoritised and underserved groups to engaging with research.
  2. Promote the benefits and opportunities of research to these organisations and communities through outreach and engagement.
  3. Identify citizens from minoritised and underserved groups interested in becoming trained Community Researchers.
  4. Connect VCFSE organisations with relevant networks to enhance their research engagement opportunities.
  5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, community members, academics, and colleagues within BVSC.
