Job Title: Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist

Location: Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, serving the communities of Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.

We are seeking a skilled Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Bowel Cancer Screening Team, you will work autonomously to address health inequalities and promote health within bowel cancer screening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to provide high-quality service to service users in Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.
  • Address health inequalities and health promotion within bowel cancer screening.
  • Demonstrate improvements in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present to external stakeholders at programme boards and other meetings as required.
  • Establish links with field workers within Agencies in the statutory and voluntary sectors of The West Midlands in relation to The National Health Service Bowel Cancer Screening programme.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals in organizing promotional information and events in promoting Bowel Cancer Screening to hard-to-reach groups.
  • Contribute to Core20PLUS5 and the NHS long term plan of early detection and diagnosis of cancer.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
