Developing Skills Educator

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our team at Now Education, working in partnership with HMP Wandsworth to deliver high-quality education to learners. As a Functional Skills Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping our students unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a range of benefits, including extensive annual leave, a Monday to Friday working pattern, and access to our in-house training program, Evolve. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and contribute to curriculum development, ensuring that our learners receive the best possible education.
As a Functional Skills Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include teaching and delivering lessons to learners, developing and contributing to Schemes of Work and lesson plans, and contributing to Individual Learning Plans and additional learner support. You will also work collaboratively with Functional skills tutors and Learning Support Practitioners to support literacy, language, and numeracy skills within the program.

In terms of salary, we estimate that this role will attract a salary in the range of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Job Requirements:
- A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified time scale (required)
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism
