At Igloo, we are seeking an experienced Automotive Repair Specialist to join our client's team in Reading on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading family-owned automotive maintenance and repair business with operations throughout the south of England.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precise stripping and refitting of vehicle parts required for repairs, following job cards and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow. Key tasks include:

  • Reporting any additional parts needed to the Workshop Controller/Estimator.
  • Completing check sheets at each stage.
  • Executing repairs with precision according to job cards.
  • Verifying repair methods before implementation.
  • Setting up welding equipment following established repair methods.
  • Using extraction equipment for safety.
  • Accurately aligning all panels for seamless repairs.
  • Applying correct fillers for precise repairs.
  • Maintaining a clean work area and reporting equipment faults promptly.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with other departments for operational efficiency.
  • Reporting and addressing problems promptly to the Workshop Controller.

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience). We offer a competitive salary package, plus a time saved bonus.
