As a Bricklayer Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced tradespeople in various construction tasks. Your duties will include analysing building plans, interpreting work orders, measuring distance from reference points, calculating angles, and laying bricks using mortar as a binder.
You will also be required to fasten bricks with wire clamps or cement, work safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights, and use equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to exceptional levels of customer care and bring additional trade skills or be willing to upskill where appropriate.
