About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project and SME Engineer to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a maintenance methodology to ensure that mechanical equipment operates at the highest operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Project and SME Engineer, you will lead and own the 1 year rolling, and 3 - 5 year improvement plan for the assets.

Key responsibilities include implementing Written Schemes of Examination, assessing equipment condition, and reporting outcomes to business area to comply with legal requirements and business goals.

Additionally, you will recommend repairs, advise the Engineering and Projects Manager, and assign inspection intervals to achieve legal compliance and business goals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working with hydraulic, pneumatics, mechanical gears, and bearings, compressed air, and associated plant ideally with manufacturing (QA and production), maintenance, and operation, repair, and site inspection experience.

Qualifications include BEng or MEng in a related discipline, or QBE (Qualified by Experience), with strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment combined with heavy industrial plant experience.
