Job Description: Learning and Development Assistants

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Learning and Development Assistant to join our team at our school in Hastings.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in psychology, criminology, or sociology, and/or experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN). They will be passionate about supporting children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs, and will have a strong understanding of challenging behavior.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of children. The successful candidate will work closely with therapists to develop forward plans and build strong relationships with the children. They will maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, and provide comprehensive support to the children in their care.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing individualized learning plans for children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs
  • Collaborating with therapists to identify areas of need and develop strategies to support the children
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to children experiencing challenging behaviors

Estimated Salary: £26,000 - £36,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
