Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our team at Sedamyl. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of onsite project requirements, from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team of skilled Project/Design Engineers to ensure effective project execution on site.
- Survey site conditions and develop accurate drawings of design solutions, overseeing manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
- Support the technical office with construction drawings and manage updates to current plant and process drawings.
- Identify solutions to plant issues, focusing on improving equipment/process safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Provide support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to delivery, training, and handover.
- Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, services providers, site-based engineering teams, and production teams.
- Chair and facilitate meetings, ensuring effective stakeholder management and relationship building.
- Assist with general duties associated with a busy expanding production site.
- Contribute to site Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) objectives.
- Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D packages.
- Proven experience in leading and growing a successful Project Engineering Department.
- Experience with process pipework and strong management of drawing revisions and issues.
- Previous experience managing multiple projects across production/manufacturing sites.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to work.
- Experience with Inventor is advantageous.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with very strong collaborative skills.
