Job Title: Apprentice Automation Engineer

Location: South East London

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £60,000 to £68,000 + Shares

Shifts: Days Only (3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off)

About the Role:

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for fault finding on PLCs, reading through programming language, and making adjustments to code to ensure the smooth running of the factory. They will also be involved in making adjustments to robotics according to production needs, programming using Ladder Logic, STL, and SCL, and working on Allen Bradley (RsLogix) and Siemens PLCs (1500 TIA Portal). Additionally, they will provide support for cyber security on site and contribute to continuous improvements, coming up with ideas for change looking at improving production output.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for a recognised Engineering Qualification (Electrical Needed) holder with experience working with PLCs, with a proven track record of being able to read code. The ideal candidate will be able to work well alone or with a shift partner, have an eye for continuous improvement, and be able to work well in a diverse team. Strong communication skills with key stakeholders within the business and OEMs are also essential.
