Automation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering test strategies that drive excellence in software development.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Test Manager and Test Leads in planning and delivering all test activities for our strategic change programme. This will involve collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver against agreed test activities and deliverables in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of test plans, ensuring that testing is carried out across all software phases: system, regression, integration, performance, user acceptance testing, and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop test cases, ensuring that tests are comprehensive and effective.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools, ensuring that tests are efficient and reliable.
- Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Actively participate in agile development ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring that testing is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.
- Excellent programming skills using Java or C#.
- Experience of designing and implementing automation frameworks/solutions.
- Proven experience and knowledge of working with Cucumber/Specflow.
- Good knowledge and experience of DevOps and/or Jira.
- Proven experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
