At SYSTRA UK & Ireland, we are seeking an experienced Highway Drainage Project Manager to join our growing team of professionals. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality drainage solutions that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control the financial, technical, and project management aspects of civil engineering projects, including small to large-scale highway and development infrastructure projects
  • Delegate tasks and direct engineers and technicians working on projects
  • Develop and supervise junior engineers within the team
  • Lead all stages of drainage designs (adoptable or non-adoptable) to ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Oversee the production and delivery of technical packages and applications
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure designs are fully coordinated
  • Liaise with construction professionals to develop designs
  • Prepare and deliver technical outputs, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, contract documents, and technical reports
  • Pricing and preparing scope briefs, proposals, and deliverables for new projects
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and be self-motivated
  • Establish and maintain relationships with main client contacts
  • Take commercial responsibility for projects
  • Ensure successful project delivery to time, cost, quality, and contractual requirements
  • Work with clients to understand their ultimate objectives and desired outcomes
  • Making presentations to clients, third parties, and colleagues as required
  • Be client-facing, representing the company externally at a senior level, while managing own workload and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Undertake site visits to monitor progress against specifications and highlight issues to the contractor, client, and/or project manager as necessary
