Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sanctuary Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.

The role requires excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize workloads, work to deadlines, and plan ahead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance tasks for void and tenanted properties, including general building repairs and maintenance, kitchens, bathrooms, and low-level access showers.
  • Repairing and replacing UPVC doors and windows, as well as carrying out damp and mould treatments.
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (wet trades, carpentry, joinery, plumbing), or currently undertaking the qualification.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
  • Skills in some of the following disciplines – Wet Trade, Plumbing, Carpentry, Joinery, UPVC door and window fitting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, work to deadlines, and plan ahead.

  • A competitive salary of £35,387 per annum, rising to £37,249 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance.
