Job Description

Job Title: Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Prax. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our environmental objectives are met during our exploration, appraisal, development, operations, and decommissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with environmental relevant statutory provisions throughout the full life cycle of our onshore and offshore operations.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, including PETS Applications (Master Application Templates) for drilling, pipeline operations, wells, production operations, decommissioning, and standalone activities.
  • Administer the EEMS database, set OSPAR EEMS requirements, and prepare OPEPS, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Environmental Statements (ES), ES Addenda, where required.
  • Propose and monitor against annual environmental targets and objectives, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental returns.
  • Record environmental training, exercises, and drills and submit annual returns to relevant authorities.
  • Liaise with other West of Shetland Operators to exchange relevant environmental information and lessons learned.
  • Lead environmental survey responses and consultations with various groups, including Atmospherics Technical Group, Energy and Climate Policy Forum, Gas Forum, Environment Operators Technical Group, and Government Relations Group.
  • Monitor changes to environmental legislation and advise personnel on compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE&Q corporate policies and applicable legislation.
  • Establish, review, and revise environmental policies and plans to ensure they remain current for Prax activities.
  • Demonstrate proactive environmental leadership and support to Aberdeen-based ERSC response facilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or equivalent with relevant application to the oil and gas industry.
  • Chartered Member of a professional environmental body.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience of UKCS field development, specifically knowledge of associated reporting and operational requirements.
  • Proven environmental leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of current environmental indicators and techniques for enhancing EH&S performance, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
