About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our dynamic team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialist psychological services to stroke patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to stroke patients, including neuropsychological assessments and treatment planning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a psychologically safe and informed environment for patients, carers, and staff.
  • Initiate and collaborate in service evaluation, audit, and research to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and training to junior staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work as an autonomous professional within the guidelines and policies of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Registration as an Applied Psychology Practitioner member of the HCPC.
  • Experience of working with stroke patients and their families, including specialist assessment and treatment planning.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to good team functioning.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to mental health, safeguarding, and discrimination.
