We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Commercial Leader to join our team and drive commercial expertise across the Infrastructure directorate.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join the West of England Combined Authority at an ambitious time, with significant infrastructure programmes being procured across rail, road, and transport operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement commercial and supply chain management strategies to deliver projects worth over £1 billion from Government funding.
- Lead on driving commercial expertise across the Infrastructure directorate, ensuring the execution of procurement strategies across the Combined Authority to ensure consistent and high-quality value delivery.
- Implement best practices in procurement and supplier management to support commercial and operational objectives.
- Extensive commercial management experience in the delivery of large-scale infrastructure and transport major projects (multi-billion).
- Commercial management of significant construction/transport contracts and negotiating contract changes.
- Presenting complex information to a range of key stakeholders to secure buy-in and engagement.
- Experience of establishing and growing both commercial and procurement services, particularly in an infrastructure delivery environment.
- Experience of detailed analysis of data relating to the review of costs and savings.
- A successful track record of engaging effectively with others at a senior level and building productive partnerships with key stakeholders.
We offer a competitive salary of £60,204 - £65,858 per annum, 26-31 days annual leave, a generous employer-contributed pension scheme, reduced fare bus travel across the West of England, and flexible working options.
