Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team in The Dining Room at Seaham Hall. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to the highest standards, ensuring that all locally sourced ingredients are used to their fullest potential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their culinary skills to the next level and contribute to the success of our award-winning business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes in your designated section of the kitchen
  • Ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a Demi Chef de Partie
  • Passionate about cooking and committed to delivering high-quality dishes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in professional cookery (desirable)
