We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team at an Industrial Machinery Manufacturer in Witney, Oxfordshire.

The company designs and manufactures high-performance cryogenic systems for scientific and cryogenic research groups and industries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop fit-for-purpose components, sub-systems, and assemblies of cryogen systems.
  2. Lead product design from concept to manufacture, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new systems and mechanisms or improve existing ones.
  4. Apply Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM & DFA) principles to optimize product design.
  5. Create CAD concepts, parts, and assemblies in line with functional requirements, geometric tolerances, and internal standards.
  6. Support CAD releases and reviews to program milestones, ensuring timely completion and release.
  7. Provide technical support to internal and external customers, ensuring high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
  1. Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques and processes.
  2. Knowledge of Materials Resource Planning (MRP) and Engineering Change Request processes.
  3. Broad knowledge of engineering and materials technology is highly desirable.
  4. Ability to design for manufacturing and assembly, ensuring efficient production processes.
