Senior Legal Cashier Job Description

Law Staff Limited is seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Cashier to join our prestigious two-office practice in Northamptonshire. This full-time, office-based role invites a meticulous and autonomous professional to contribute their expertise to a supportive and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Manage office and client payments, oversee billing processes, prepare VAT returns, conduct bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with Solicitors Account Rules.
  • Cash and Credit Management: Resolve general account queries, execute month and year-end duties, and process payroll.
  • Financial Transactions: Process all forms of financial transactions, including BACS and CHAPS, electronic payments, and conveyancing completions.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Produce end-of-year accounts, deal with petty cash, and submit VAT and other statutory returns.
Requirements
  • Experience: A wealth of experience in legal accounts, with a proven ability to operate independently and with precision.
  • Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, in-depth understanding of the Solicitors Account Rules, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
