Job Title: IT Educator

At GSL Education, we are seeking a dedicated and innovative IT Educator to join our team of professionals. As an IT Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT education to secondary school students, devising engaging lesson plans, and monitoring student progress in adherence to the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver IT lessons aligned with the national curriculum, catering to individual student needs.
  • Employ diverse teaching methods, including lectures, group activities, and hands-on projects, to enhance student engagement.
  • Evaluate student progress through regular assessments, homework, and tests.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and success strategies.
  • Utilise technology and digital resources to enrich the learning experience.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities like coding clubs, IT fairs, and field trips.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement school-wide programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or qualification (PGCE, QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching IT to school students.
  • Profound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Updated DBS.
