Dementia Advocate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dementia Advocate to join our team in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan. As a Dementia Advocate, you will play a vital role in promoting and delivering independent advocacy to people living with dementia in the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide independent advocacy to people living with dementia, ensuring their rights and interests are represented.
- Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary organisations to deliver successful projects and services.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of dementia and the rights of people living with dementia.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to safeguarding legislation and procedures in Wales.
- Utilise creative communication strategies to facilitate communication with people living with dementia.
- Be highly organised, positive, and outgoing, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Be proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Deliver promotional and awareness-raising sessions to various audiences.
- Hold a City and Guilds level 4 qualification in Independent Advocacy or be committed to achieving this.
