Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual looking to make a meaningful impact in the care sector? We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Manager to join our team at Nightingale Nursing & Care Home, a purpose-built facility providing personal, nursing, and dementia care to 49 residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained, and the wellbeing of residents and staff is prioritized.
- Develop, motivate, and improve the performance of the care team, ensuring they are fully competent in medication management and adhere to company policies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure medication is handled correctly, and all care plans are evaluated and updated as required.
Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
- Minimum of three years' experience in a residential or nursing home setting, with at least one year in a dementia care environment.
- Awareness of Person-Centred Care Planning principles.
- Ability to recognize signs of abuse and follow procedures in the event of an allegation.
- Satisfactory Care Character Assessment.
- Live within 30 minutes of the Home.
Preferred Requirements:
- Two years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home.
- One year experience of caring for residents living with dementia.
- Experience of supervising team members.
- NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
- Experience as a Senior in Health or Social Care or above.
