Sales Director

The Standard Hotel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to join our team in London. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strategic partnerships to increase market share.
About the RoleAs our Director of Sales, you will work closely with our Hotel Manager, Executive Team, and Global Sales teams to oversee our sales team and function in London. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team to ensure they meet their targets and align with the hotel's wider sales objectives and strategies.
You will also work closely with the Director of Events to drive business to our reactive teams and play a key role in defining our revenue budget with our Director of Revenue. You will implement the annual sales plan through our sales team across all market segments to increase market share, average rate, and RevPAR.
Additionally, you will work closely with the Revenue and Marketing Directors to create promotions and packages to support transient and direct sales, achieving our monthly revenue forecasts.

- Lead and manage a team of sales managers to ensure they meet their targets and align with the hotel's sales objectives
- Work closely with the Director of Events to drive business to our reactive teams
- Define and implement the revenue budget with the Director of Revenue
- Implement the annual sales plan through our sales team across all market segments
- Work closely with the Revenue and Marketing Directors to create promotions and packages to support transient and direct sales
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales with a minimum of 5+ years of senior sales experience in the luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel sector. You will have a solid understanding of the London hotel market and current trends, as well as experience in developing revenue budgets and hotel sales plans.
You will also have a creative approach to developing bespoke sales and promotional activities that deliver true ROI, a varied and wide range of key business contacts across all market segments, and sound decision-making skills.
Additionally, you will have experience in producing a range of monthly business and sales reports for both corporate office and private ownership, and expert abilities in Opera, Triple seat, RFP platform (Lanyon and HRS), and Microsoft Office.
