Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Underwriter to join our team at Skillful, a leading Motor Finance company. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing the creditworthiness of customers and making informed decisions to approve or decline loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customers' creditworthiness based on pre-defined guidelines and assess their ability to make payments
  • Collaborate with Dealers and Acquisition Agents to ensure a smooth new business journey
  • Make informed decisions to approve or decline loan applications
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of retail lending products, including Motor Finance

Requirements:

  • Manual underwriting experience, ideally in Credit Underwriting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of retail lending products, with a focus on Motor Finance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
