Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to our world-leading research programme in the Simons Initiative for the Developing brain.

The successful candidate will work on a programme of research using whole cell patch clamp electrophysiological assessment of rat models of ASD/ID, as well as in vivo expression of viral vectors to determine cell-type specific functional properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct single-cell electrophysiology experiments in rodent brain slices
  • Analyse in vitro and in vivo physiology experiments in rodents to investigate the cortex or hippocampus
  • Perform intracranial stereotaxic injections in adolescent rats
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments
Requirements
  • PhD in Neuroscience or related discipline
  • Expertise in single-cell electrophysiology, in vitro and in vivo physiology experiments, and intracranial stereotaxic injections
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer
