Job Title: Senior Test Systems Software Engineer

Location: Rochester

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Systems Software Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems Rochester. As a key member of our Test Systems team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining test equipment solutions that support the complex and demanding requirements of our diverse range of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test equipment solutions that meet the requirements of our products
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that test equipment solutions are integrated into our products
  • Develop and maintain software for test equipment solutions
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure that test equipment solutions are validated and verified
  • Contribute to the development of software architectures and designs

Requirements:

  • Proven technical software engineering and development skills with a good understanding of systems and hardware
  • Experience of the full software design life cycle, from requirements analysis to formal release and configuration
  • Existing programming knowledge such as LabVIEW, TestStand, C++, Python, and C#

Desirable:

  • Experience of test equipment design
  • Understanding of cyber security controls as set out in NIST SP 800-171
