Job Summary

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the monthly close cycle, ensuring financial and statutory reporting is complete to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of account reconciliations, including foreign exchange and depreciation.
  • Prepare and post journals, ensuring proper authorization and relevant documentation is attached.
  • Assist with audit requests and perform monthly closing steps.
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, ensuring processes are complete.
  • Intercompany reconciliations, including balance sheet, P&L, interest, and loans.
  • Inventory/stock reconciliations.
  • Assist with capital expenditure (Capex) and prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in manufacturing and have worked in a similar role. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
