About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Water Confidence Coach to join our team at Kings Camps in Edinburgh. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe delivery of our water-based programs for children aged 5-17 years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing swim sessions, working alongside a qualified swimming teacher, and providing a safe and engaging environment for our participants. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about developing children's water confidence and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead swim sessions with mixed ability groups, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all participants
  • Work closely with the swimming teacher to deliver bespoke and engaging programs
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times, supervising all sessions and promptly reacting to any incidents
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good condition and available for use

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have:

  • A current Lifeguard qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC)
  • At least 6 months' Lifeguard experience
  • Able to conduct a depth test at the venue
  • A passion for developing children's water confidence
  • Vibrant, resilient, team player
  • Flexible and adaptable

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career development and advancement within the company.
