The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Sales Assistant to join our team at Majestic Wine Macclesfield. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team in meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our wine range to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Take ownership of the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, ensuring a welcoming and inviting environment for customers.
  • Contribute to operational tasks, including delivering wine to customers, merchandising stock deliveries, and calling valued customers to drive sales opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the operational running of the store and implement solutions with the team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and complete mandatory training.
  • Act as a role model for Majestic's Ways of Working and provide support to more junior team members.
Requirements
  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every single customer.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
  • A can-do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
  • Adaptable and resilient to meet the ever-changing demands of our business.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
  • Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
