Project Manager

About the Role

As a Project Manager at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for leading customer-facing projects in the power generation sector. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initial planning to delivery, while maintaining a strong relationship with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, specification, time, cost, quality, risk, and resource aspects to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Oversee commercial aspects to achieve financial objectives and identify tender/contract scope.
  • Specify, control, and deliver contract-specific quality assurance requirements.
  • Purchase parts, raw materials, and subcontract processes.
  • Coordinate, integrate, and motivate project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor and review project status, identify issues, and develop solutions to fulfill contract obligations.
  • Promote a responsible health, safety, and environment culture.
  • Manage customer interface to maintain a good working relationship consistent with the company's interests.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering or commercial discipline.
  • Recognized formal PM qualification, such as IPMA Level C, APMP, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the power generation market sector.
  • Experience in an engineering business related to hardware supply or service contract provision, including subcontractor management.
  • Experience with large rotating equipment and systems (Steam Turbines and Generators – up to 660MW) is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative team worker.
