HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Ignition Driver Recruitment. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for driving a fully branded Class 1 vehicle, trunking or collecting parcels, and maintaining your driver hours in accordance with Working Time Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a fully branded Class 1 vehicle
  • Trunk or collect parcels with little to no manual handling required
  • Keep up to date with pre and post-shift vehicle checks
  • Maintain your driver hours in accordance with Working Time Regulations
Working Hours:

Sunday to Friday working, with occasional Saturdays. Flexible shift times, including days, afternoons, and nights.

Requirements:
  • Class 1 driving licence
  • At least 12 months experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
  • Up-to-date Tacho Digi and DCPC Card
  • No more than 6 points on your licence, excluding DD, TT, DR, CD, and IN endorsements

Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must live in the UK and have the correct working VISA documents. We do not assist with working VISAs and are unable to put you forward for our roles if you do not have the correct VISA documentation.
