Key Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee the production of timely, relevant and accurate financial, commercial and operational reporting for a leading manufacturing company.
  • Ensure the submission of statutory reporting requirements, including statutory accounts and audit, corporate tax, PAYE, VAT, and company filing, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and develop the accounts team, ensuring high-quality output from each area, and implement effective management and motivation strategies.
  • Manage and review all outgoings in the business, ensuring rigorous checks are conducted to maintain financial integrity.
  • Efficiently manage and report on cash flow, including accounts payable and credit control, to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Develop and enhance internal management reporting systems to provide actionable insights and drive business growth.
  • Design and implement procedures and processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Produce annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly cash flow projections to inform business decisions.
  • Monitor and review commercial and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and drive business growth.
  • Assist the Financial Director in other matters, including insurance, legal, and contract review, to ensure seamless financial management.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with 5+ years of post-qualified commercial experience, demonstrating a proven track record of managing people and improving systems, procedures, and processes.

Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, to drive business success.
