Job Overview


Delkia, a leading engineering and technology company, is seeking an experienced Mission Systems Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing safety-related and mission-critical systems for the aerospace industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the development of air system requirements and architecture modeling
  • Contribute to the gathering of product qualification evidence to support verification of test requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise on system design and architecture
  • Implement model-based system engineering (MBSE) practices and champion the MBSE ethos
  • Support internal and client capability in line with model-based and digitization strategies
  • Integrate with safety regimes to demonstrate controls and support platform safety cases
  • Provide day-to-day reporting and liaison with client and project teams
  • Remain current with industry developments in system certification and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor engineers across the discipline and contribute to their professional development


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
  • Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or equivalent
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering toolsets and standards
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management toolsets
  • Demonstrable experience in systems software application design at platform and/or systems level
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to different sectors and work environments


Preferred Skills:


  • Familiarity with system engineering standards
  • Avionics or maritime control and indication background
  • Experience in other relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Deep understanding of industry-related standards
