Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Respiratory, Critical Care and Surgical (ARCCS) team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialist assessment, treatment, and advice to patients within your area of specialty, using a holistic approach, thereby facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
  • Supervise and mentor junior therapists and assistants, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Lead and influence change, promoting evidence-based practice and improving patient outcomes.
  • Participate in the training of undergraduate Occupational Therapists and contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Deputise in the absence of senior colleagues, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining good working relationships with the team.

Person Specification

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with the following skills and experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Undertaken clinical educators training
  • Evidence of recent and relevant CPD
  • Ability to lead and influence change
  • Ability to perform literature reviews and promote evidence-based practice
