About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team at Nuffield Health Hertford Fitness & Wellbeing Centre. As a key member of our Property & Facilities team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all building services, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to prioritize health and safety initiatives and ensure policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work are in place
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with staff and members
  • Assist with the completion of monthly PPM jobs and daily/weekly checklists
  • Manage and complete reactive calls within a realistic and reasonable timeframe
  • Understand COSHH regulations and guidelines and assist with the ownership and management of Health and Safety Management System folders
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a maintenance facility role
  • 3 Day ISRM Pool Plant room qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent customer service and organization skills
  • Team player, committed to providing a service ethos
  • A qualification in either electrical or HVAC
  • IOSHH Qualification
