About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining various plant and equipment to support business operations.

Main Responsibilities

  1. To provide technical expertise and knowledge to manage and maintain Effluent Waste Treatment Plants and other essential equipment.
  2. To offer technical assistance with waste management and quality services to other areas of the business.
  3. To participate in the on-call Incident Response Team, providing critical support during site incidents such as plant breakdowns, chemical spills, and clean-up operations.
  4. To coordinate and control allocated Preventative Maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  5. To ensure all statutory and legal maintenance tasks adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. A minimum of NVQ (3) or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering is required.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance is essential, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Familiarity with Effluent Waste Treatment Plants or Chemical Wastewater systems is necessary.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices, risk assessments, and COSHH procedures.

Benefits and Salary

The salary for this position is approximately £48,000 per annum, inclusive of a basic salary and shift allowance, plus additional benefits.
