Logicor, a leader in European logistics real estate, seeks a seasoned legal professional to join its team. As Senior Legal Council, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's legal strategy and providing expert guidance to senior management and business teams across all jurisdictions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing a range of legal, risk, insurance, and corporate governance matters across all countries where Logicor operates in Europe, with the support of the General Counsel.
  • Managing and supervising a legal team of three qualified lawyers and a Legal Operations Manager in the UK, handling various legal matters and collaborating closely with the Luxembourg compliance team on company secretarial and compliance matters.
  • Advising senior management and the wider business on legal risks and issues, working alongside them to find solutions and manage legal and other risks.
  • Overseeing and advising on Logicor's internal approvals process, renewal of property and corporate insurance programmes, and handling material claims.
  • Designing, improving, and implementing good corporate governance practices and procedures, including meeting compliance requirements.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts and other legal documents, as well as policies and procedures for various business areas.
  • Project planning and managing new initiatives, developing processes and procedures for the business and the legal team.
  • Implementing, training, monitoring, and auditing policies and procedures and new processes, designing and managing processes and procedures within the legal, compliance, and risk function internally and with external parties.
  • Assisting and advising on corporate structuring matters, applying UK laws and regulations, and best business practices, and staying up-to-date with EU and UK laws and regulations and their application to the business.
  • Liaising with external counsel, acting as a bridge between external advisors and business teams, and managing legal spend across head office functions.
  • Liaising with key external stakeholders, including shareholders and investors, and developing and executing appropriate training across the organisation.
Requirements
  • 10 years of legal experience post-qualification and a current practicing certificate.
  • Private practice experience in a reputable law firm, with additional experience in commerce/industry with an international organisation.
  • A generalist/corporate background with the ability and enthusiasm to be involved, advise, and lead on various areas.
  • Real estate legal experience is helpful but not essential.
  • Excellent technical ability, strong analytical skills, and good verbal and written communication are essential.
  • An ability to work well with teams across disciplines, jurisdictions, and cultures both internally and with external parties.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to move projects forward by engaging stakeholders.
  • An organised and proactive attitude, and an ability to operate to tight deadlines or react to urgent situations.
