About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Resuscitation Officer - Clinical Training Specialist at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical training team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering high-quality training programs to empower healthcare professionals with lifesaving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver comprehensive Basic Life Support and Immediate Life Support courses to equip staff with the skills and confidence to respond effectively in critical situations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate resuscitation-related training programs, ensuring staff are equipped with the latest techniques and knowledge.
  • Lead the development of clinical training materials, including educational resources and training manuals.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training programs.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice and support to clinical teams on resuscitation-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures related to resuscitation.
Requirements
  • Registered Health Care Professional with current registration with NMC, HCPC as appropriate.
  • Teaching qualification (or working towards) such as PTTLS, AET or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of recent and ongoing personal development.
  • Experience of working in acute care environment (pre-hospital or in hospital).
  • Experience of mentoring and/or training other healthcare professionals.
  • Sound clinical knowledge underpinned by evidence of theoretical understanding.
  • Ability to critically appraise research.
  • Application of local and national guidelines/standards related to all aspects of resuscitation including training.
