Technical Director

As a Technical Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our sites in the East Midlands, working closely with our teams to ensure the smooth operation of our kilns and dryers, and driving continuous improvement across our factory operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Procurement and testing of production materials, goods, and services
• Management of clay extraction, stockpiling, blending, and usage
• Overseeing kiln and dryer operations
• Coordinating product development and innovation
• Management of the Factory Quality Assurance system - ISO 9001
• Management of the Factory Environmental & Energy systems - ISO 14001 & ISO 500001
• Effective interdepartmental liaison to achieve defined objectives

You will also be responsible for people management, motivation, and structured development of the technical and quality team, as well as the implementation of IMS tools and techniques to generate continuous improvement.
