Job Title: SEN Teacher
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and supporting students with complex needs in a post 16 SEN college.
About the Role:
- Teach and support students with profound and multiple learning disabilities and SEMH
- Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of students with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with learning support assistants to ensure students receive the best possible support
- Implement appropriate assessment and progress tracking
- Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
About the College:
- Post 16 SEN College with a maximum of 10 students per class
- 75 students aged 16 and over
- Onsite vocational opportunities including catering, digital media, and more
- Outstanding Specialist School with a bespoke curriculum focused on independence
About You:
- Experience working with students with PMLD and complex needs
- Degree at 1st Class or 2:1 level in Education and Training
- Strong communication and planning skills
- Able to work collaboratively with a team
- Dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to students
What We Offer:
- Permanent contract with a competitive salary
- Lecturer scale £34,561 - £45,018 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
- Monday to Friday, 22 teaching hours per week
- Teaching and planning days with a focus on student support and enrichment
