Job Title: Sr. Piping Engineer

Applica is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Piping Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing flexible pipe systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specifications for flexible pipe suppliers and interface with project teams, engineering teams, and supply chain management.
  • Support the selection of flexible pipe suppliers through technical evaluation and plan, detail, and review technical documentation related to flexible pipe systems.
  • Manage the design analysis and undertake and check others' analysis, design, and engineering activities associated with flexible cross-sections, terminations, and bend restrictors.
  • Produce and check design documentation, including feasibility reports, detailed in-place design reports, specifications, and material take-offs.
  • Ensure progress and compliance of suppliers in close interface with supply chain management and follow up on flexible design activities, fabrications, and testing.
  • Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the engineering group, project engineering group, and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering or hydrodynamics with relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in OrcaFlex software and fluent English language skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage time, and inform team members of constraints affecting projects in terms of program or budget.
  • Demonstrable ability to work within time and budget constraints and ability to work in a multicultural group.
