About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Estates Project Manager to join our Capital Team at Powys Teaching Health Board. The successful candidate will lead on a number of capital major and minor works to deliver a compliant, high-quality, safe, efficient, and value-for-money capital programme.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on capital major and minor works projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations and healthcare standards.
  • Manage project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including hospital staff, patients, and external partners.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, including project managers, architects, and engineers.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.

Requirements

  • Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in an Estates/Construction related discipline.
  • Knowledge of building design, building services, staff management, and project management.
  • Proven track record of project management experience in the estates/construction industry.
  • Ability to interpret design drawings and manage project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare organization, with knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Experience of working in a large project environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
