Job Title: Support Worker

Join our team as a Support Worker and make a real difference in the lives of our service users. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or forensic histories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments and follow-ups to understand the needs of our service users and develop personalized support plans.
  • Manage paperwork and record-keeping in accordance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide leadership and on-the-job training to staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care.
  • Take lead on shifts, identify opportunities for service development and improvement, and support colleagues in their roles.
  • Undertake sleepovers, overnight, and weekend working to ensure our service users receive 24/7 support.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of our service users.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of SVQ3 qualification.
  • Direct experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or forensic histories.
  • Knowledge of SSSC standards and an understanding of the causes and effects of social exclusion.
  • Experience in organizational planning and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and protection procedures.
